Married, with three kids (21,18,17) and a husband. Sad to say, I am the only one in the family that likes to read. The kids and my husband will read, if they HAVE to, but I am the only one who knows where their library card is. Have loved to read every since Sister St. Margaret taught me, along with 60+ other First Graders at St. Peter's school, back in 1961. I cannot imagine not reading something, even if it's just the back of the cereal box.
I teach preschool- three year olds- and my favorite part of the class is when I read to them. I love to really 'get into' the story-and when I see all those little faces looking up at me, (well, most of them anyway) it makes me feel good.
I have a great used book store at a library close to me, and I and my friends just literally get lost in there, our arms aching from the books we've found. The prices are great, and I have stacks of books at home, waiting to be read. Thank God they are patient. I'm looking forward to not only reading some new books, but sending the ones I have read to a good home.
